  • Once the Emperor Valerian asked St. Lawrence to submit all his property to the Government. Then he brought all the lepers, lame blind, orphans and widows and told the king that these were his property. Due to this he was put to death into burning oil. And he made a great difference in the early church. Today most of us select such jobs which can fetch enough property. Therefore, teaching has also become a mere job to earn money, Today how many of our teachers can say like St. Lawrence that only a real teacher can feel and admire students as their property. Because good teachers aim to impart the real knowledge and lighten the world. Students are the clay in the hands of such teachers, who mould and shape them according to their ability. Teachers are placed next to god in our culture. A good teacher can inspire, ignite the imagination and instill love for learning, It is said, “Teaching is a noble profession that shapes the character, caliber and future of an individual.”
  • A question arises what makes a good teacher great? A good teacher relates with students and brings trust and confidence. A great teacher thinks like a kid but acts like an adult, in order to be one with them. A great teacher loves to learn and teach because teaching is a learning process. They are real content experts. A great teacher understands that the students have a life outside the school because he/she is also a parent. A great teacher helps a student if he /she notices any struggle because he /she has walked through the toughest road.
  • Therefore, our society needs to elevate the works of our teachers and also acknowledge the sacrifices which they do for their children. Never should one forget to pay due respect to their teachers. Today the social media is projecting what is not true about the teachers. Due to the negative impact of social media, the teacher’s talents and sacrifices are not recognized. Therefore, we conclude that the teaching profession is also a mere job to earn money. In order to keep up our tradition and culture, we parents need to teach our children to respect the teachers. Only a teacher can motivate a student when he/she finds hope in depression. When a student loses his/her hope then he/she finds hope in his/her teacher. Therefore, a teacher is the backbone of a student. Finally, a teacher can change everything anytime and make a difference in the world.
